- Next of Kin/Medical Professional Information: This is only collected if necessary for your safety or if there’s an urgent medical reason during a session, and we will inform you first.
- Session Notes: We keep brief notes about your sessions for reference and record-keeping.
Will Your Data Be Shared?
We will not sell or share your data for marketing or unethical purposes. We may only share your information:
- If required by law (e.g., subpoena).
- If you or someone you mention is at risk of harm.
- During professional supervision (only using your first name).
How Is Your Data Stored?
Your data is stored securely:
- Paper records are kept in a locked filing cabinet.
- Digital records are stored on a password-protected computer.
- Your phone number is stored in our business mobile under your first name and last initial.
How Long Is Your Data Kept?
We retain your details and session notes for 7 years, as required by our insurance provider. After this period, your records will be securely destroyed, and your contact details will be removed from our systems.
